The club’s Monday Social Golf came to a conclusion this week with a fun scramble competition which saw a tremendous turnout of members despite the wet conditions. The winning team was Faye McGrotty, Jennifer Rainey and Anne K Hamilton. Runners up were Florence Rankin, Mary Wallace, Irene Cosgrove and Sally Maloney.
Anne Hamilton claimed the Key’s Matchplay Championship when she defeated Margaret Killen in a tense and exciting final. The beaten semi-finalists were Agnes McLaughlin and Faye McGrotty.
On Friday last the Past Captain’s of Foyle’s Ladies Branch competed for the beautiful Louden Challenge Trophy. A delighted Denise Callan took top honours in difficult wet and windy conditions. Runner up was Ann Fulton and in third place was Agnes McLaughlin. Back nine and front nine was won by Myra Gough and Lorna Thompson respectively….
