Foyle Sunday Society Members turned out in force on Sunday last to compete for Society Skipper Sean Mc Eleney’s Captains Prizes.
The large entry who took part need commended for braving the strong winds, rain and sleet therefore making it another enjoyable and successful day.
The Captain’s prize winner was decided after a break of tie which went to the last three holes in favour of the Sunday Society Golfer of the Year Dermot Harkin who is having a season to remember so far. He was pushed all the way by the ever young Maurice Temple who, if only for some tree trouble down the last, would surely have reversed the result as both players finished on 40 points with Maurice having the consolation of winning his category prize.
