Foyle Ladies Club staged their Annual Christmas Party and Prize Giving recently at Pitchers when Lady Captain Florence Rankin presented the Christmas Hampers in addition to the main Trophies for the year.
Lorna Thompson excelled on the course again this year to win the prestigious “Golfer of the Year” Trophy as well as the Silver Medal, Silver Spoon and Breakthrough Brooch. The ‘Foyle Shield’ for the best 30 to 36 handicap player was presented to Mary Wallace.
Lady Captain Florence Rankin was the winner of the Bronze Medal and Alison Elkin the “Birdie Tree” winner.
The Christmas Hamper Competition was won by Anne Hamilton after a break of tie when four ladies returned a score of 22 points over 11 holes.
