Mr Martin Campbell’s sponsored Captains Open took center stage on Saturday and it was testament to the conditions and drainage of the Ballyarnett course that the competition was played on a day of torrential down pours and this resulted in a lower than usual turnout and made for difficult playing conditions thus the lower scoring.
Scott Kennedy battled through the difficult playing conditions to post the winning score of 34 points with Declan Harkin taking the runner’s up accolade after a 30 points break of tie with third placed John Spence.
