When the eighth round cards were counted in the Pauls Butchers Spring League Qualifying and the teams now dropping their lowest scores it has made some changes on the leader board with Team 4, consisting of Albert Gurney, Paul Cassidy, Cormac Cassidy and Kieran Duffy taking over at the top of the Qualifying with an accumulated eight round total of 556 points and now hold a four point lead over Teams 2 and 1 who hold second and third respectively on the leader board, Team 16, consisting of Steve Moore, Joe Bradley, Eddie Ball and David Wilson, returned the best score of the round when returning a fine 94 points which added another seven points, for an accumulated total of 557 points and in doing so moved up the leader board to sixth place.
With two rounds still to play and just nine points separating the leading six teams, with another eight teams within a few points of the leaders it will be interesting and very competitive as the teams strive to gain one of the eight places on offer in the match play.
