The A.O.N. Insurance Spring Trophy took center stage on Saturday with the early starters having some showers to contend with, 11 handicapper Sean Haslett posted a fine winning score of 41 points with Stuart Gauld winning the low 0 – 6 category with 37 points, Ciaran O’ Doherty produced the winning score in the 7 – 13 category albeit after a 40 points break of tie, with Sean Mooney continuing his rich vein of form when taking the 13 – 18 category with a fine 40 points return, new member Brendan Doherty won the 19 + category.
