The first event, the April Medal competition, was played under the new Golf Ireland WHS system.
Emerging in top spot in the 18 hole section following a 3way break of tie was Rose Campbell Quigley with a nett score of 73 , in 2nd position was the young in-form Hannah Lee-McNamara while Mary Wallace claimed the 3rd prize.
The 9 hole Stableford winner, Mary Hasson, returned a great score of 20 points – 3 ahead ahead of her nearest rival Catherine Rawdon on 17 points who secured 2nd on break of tie from Angela Montague in 3rd spot
The HDID system of sign-in and score entry seems to be efficient and working well; this adds significantly to the club’s endeavours in managing Covid safe practices, as the players work from their own mobile devices.
