Easter Mondays Annual Calor Gas Open Stableford attracted an excellent entry with the 110 competitors enjoying a fine early Summers day, along with the pristine condition of the Ballyarnett course everything was in place for a competitive Open, with Lurgan visitor Derek Browne producing a fine 42 point winning score two points clear of runner up Eddie Ball, both players striking a blow for the higher handicappers with new member John O’ Kane finishing third with a fine score of 39 points.
