The Annual Club Christmas Hamper competition was down for decision on Sunday last with the large entry enjoying fine conditions on a course in remarkable condition which was reflected in the scoring as 21 handicapper Martin Mc Callion produced an excellent winning score of 42 points.
Kevin Thomas fresh from winning a turkey voucher on Saturday added another voucher when taking the + to 10 handicap category prize albeit after a 39 points break of tie which was decided on the back six holes, Charlie Mc Dermott took the 11 to 16 category prize with another fine score of 40 points as Declan Harkin’s 40 points was the best score returned in the 17+ category.
