After some thought it’s been decided that this year, rather than the usual 11 hole Thursday competitions in autumn and then 9 holes as daylight dwindles, we will go straight to 9 holes as of next week Thursday 14th
This is mainly so that the computer system can continue to be used right through, therefore facilitating the correct handicaps to be used all the time as well as players being assured of getting their shots on the right holes and so avoiding any confusion in this regard
So, the computer will use the proper 9 hole course card although the competitions will of course be non-qualifying; we’ll see how it all works out!
In addition we have new cards for this now which are a little more durable for wet/wintry conditions
It is hoped that these changes will help to make our winter golf competitions a bit easier 🤞
