The Desmond Motors Sponsored Winter League is now underway for the eighteenth consecutive year and once again proving popular with a very good entry taking part in the teams of four 18 hole stableford event, with the qualifying rounds running until Sunday 27th November when the top eight teams will play in the final on Saturday 3rd November for the four team prizes on offer.
Team 2 Stephen Doherty, Trevor Holmes, Adrian Browne and Peter Kemish having returned a fine score of 91 points in round one, hold a slender one point advantage over team 14 who have a round one score of 90 points.
In the Ladies Section of the Winter league, Team 10 Florence Rankin, Lorna Thompson and Myra Gough hold a four point lead after round one when returning a fine score of 49 points over the 11 hole event
