The Desmond Motors Winter League Qualifying has now reached the mid point with the teams having played five rounds and it is certainly turning out to be the most competitive Qualifying section of the League for years with four points separating the leading five teams with another five teams within five points which will make the final five rounds very competitive as the teams pursue one of the eight places on offer in the final.
Team 5, Kevin Mc Dermott, Charles Mc Dermott, Martin Moran and Cormac Mc Geady continue to top the Qualifying leader board with an accumulated total of 450 points, but only have a slender one point margin from Team 7, Mark Doherty, Kevin Dunn, Kevin Thomas and Damian Mc Colgan.

In the Ladies Section of the Winter League Team 10, Florence Rankin, Lorna Thompson and Myra Gough continue to lead the way with an accumulated total of 322 points at the mid point, but see their lead now down to six points from Team 12, as the teams enter the final five rounds.
