There has been mixed fortune for some of the Teams in their various G.U.I Inter Club Competitions lately.
Senior Cup;
The Senior Cup Team produced a very mature performance on the Sandy Hill links at Rosapenna, this relatively young Team had two shots to spare as leading Qualifiers in a high caliber field, Damien Mc Kenna, Stephen Martin, Conor Mc Gurgan, Shane Mc Clean and Paul Mc Guigan producing a 303 shot total from their four best cards and will return to the same venue on Sunday 29th June to play Castlerock in the match play.
Ulster Fourball;
Sean Rankin and his Ulster Fourball Traveled to Shandon Park for the second leg holding a 4 / 1 advantage from the home leg and gained the two matches needed to progress to the third round of the competition where they will play near neighbors Faughan Valley.
Jimmy Bruen;
The Jimmy Bruen Team traveled to Ballybofey for the first round of the match play where they played Narin & Portnoo, with Team Captain Damien Martin feeling confident of a favorable outcome but after a very closely contested match which was decided at the third extra hole they failed to progress going down 3 / 2.
Pierce Purcell;
The Pierce Purcell Team traveled the short distance to Faughan Valley for the Qualifying section of the competition with high hopes of making further progress this year, but after an inept performance finished ninth therefore exiting this years competition.
