Foyle reach Ulster Fourball Semi – Final.
The Ulster Fourball Team under the guidance of Jim Mc Grotty and Eddie Ball have reached the Semi – Final of this years competition after a five match winning streak starting back in April when they had a fine victory over previous winners of the competition Rossmore followed by victories against Greenacres and Loughgall, in the fourth round they had another excellent win against the 2014 winners of the competition Portstewart which set them up for the Quarter – Final match against Kirkistown Castle where the strong Foyle Team got themselves into a very convincing position in the match winning 4 / 1 away in the first leg at Kiristown and after the return leg at Foyle, which was suspended after 9 holes because of torrential rain when they were well up in the match both Captain’s agreed on a 7.5 to 2.5 winning score to Foyle.
They will now go into the Semi-Final with confidence where they play Rockmount for a place in this years Final with Fortwilliam and Lisburn facing off in the other Semi-Final.
