The John Fahey & Co Solicitors Sponsored Open Stableford was very well supported with the 90 plus competitors finding scoring difficult because of the stiff breeze, as the single handicap golfers dominated the event with the best score on the day coming from two handicapper Shane Mc Clean who negotiated the Ballyarnett layout from the back tee’s in 69 shots for his excellent winning score of 40 points albeit after a break of tie with local Solicitor eight handicapper Ciaran Mc Guinness, with another eight handicapper Philip Smyth finishing third on 38 points.
