Foyle Ladies Club staged their Annual Christmas Party and Prize Giving recently in Pitchers’ Restaurant when Lady Captain Monica Smith presented the Christmas Hampers in addition to the main Trophies for the year.
The prestigious “Golfer of the Year” Trophy and Silver Medal was presented to Lorna Thompson after a year of consistently good golf. The ‘Foyle Shield’ for the best 30 to 36 handicap player was presented to Christine McCafferty.
Vice Captain Florence Rankin was the winner of the Bronze Medal and Breakthrough Brooch and Lady Captain Monica Smith won the Silver Spoon.
The “Birdie Tree” Competition was won by Alison Elkin.
Lady Captain Monica Smith won the clubs Christmas Hamper Competition returning a score of 27 points over 16 holes.
