Sheila’s Day
Lady Captain’s day dawned on Friday with a rather better weather outlook than previously promised; that continued all day to allow all the players to complete their rounds dry – or almost!
Lady Captain welcomed her members and guests with a warm welcome and some nice refreshments.
Her committee took care of the “official” business of the day taking the entries, fees, and sorting the sweep etc etc
The first tee was booked for eleven o’clock and the draw continued without hiccup, a goody bag for every player in hand courtesy of the Lady Captain, each group having a photo taken with Sheila, by club photographer Peter. Some of these will appear in due course; thanks to Peter for that.
Following some good scoring everyone returned home to glam up for the evening celebration, a buffet meal and presentation of beautiful prizes in the Green Room meticulously organised by her good self!
The results will be attached below for your perusal but it’s fair to say there were some new visitors to the podium which delighted the Lady Captain; and also a few regulars which equally pleased her!
The members of the club would like to thank Sheila for her hard work on the day, the beautiful array of prizes and also her hospitality throughout; am sure the winner will have already done that but no harm in repeating for those who were unable to attend the presentation.
Also good luck for the remainder of your season Lady Captain; not easy in these uncertain times
