Lady Captain’s Charity Open

The Lady Captain Mary Wallace hosted a Charity Open on Thursday 1st October in aid of her chosen charity “Foyle Search and Rescue”.
The charity event was very well supported by members and visitors with a great turnout of 104 ladies and gents.
Karen Jackson from City of Derry took top honours after returning a fine score of 37 points. Florence Rankin was runner-up with 34 points on a break of tie with Lady Captain Mary Wallace. Hannah Lee-McNamara won the gross prize with 21 points whilst the visitor’s prize went to Jenny Flanagan from City of Derry with 32 points.
The Lady Captain extends her sincere thanks to all those that sponsored individual holes, bought raffle lines gave donations or helped in any way to make the event such a great success. To date the event has raised more than £2,340 for Foyle Search and Rescue.
