Ladies Captain Florence Rankin hosted a highly successful Charity Open last Friday, sponsored by Nor Den Electrical, in aid of her chosen charity Pieta House.
The day proved to be highly successful with 123 ladies and gents turning out to support the event on a course in great condition.
Audrey McGurk from Redcastle took top honours after returning a great score of 42 points, two clear of her nearest rival Anne Hamilton from Foyle. Margaret McColgan from Buncrana won the gross prize with 21 points whilst the visitor’s prize went to Eve Funston from Redcastle with 37 points.
The Lady Captain extends her sincere thanks to the competition sponsors Nor Den Electrical and those that sponsored individual holes, bought raffle lines gave donations or helped in any way to make the event such a great success. To date the event has raised in excess of £3,300 for Pieta House.
