Lady President’s Day report
Happy excited faces but grey skies yesterday morning for Avril’s special day; 29 ladies gathered for their hostess’s delicious coffee/tea and scones with fingers crossed for the downpour to cease before the eleven o’clock tee time.
However, this was not to be and the hardy bunch donned the wetsuits, raised the umbrellas, and bravely marched to the first tee!
Most players managed to complete the round albeit arriving back drenched and with scorecards which had to be handled carefully for fear of disintegrating!
