The Magners sponsored open stableford was down for decision at Foyle on Saturday and the large entry enjoyed pleasant conditions with the Ballyarnett course in splendid condition.
Eleven handicapper Philip Smyth made full use of the favourable conditions to post a fine winning score of 40 points from the back tees. Dane Mc Cafferty finished runner up two points adrift, with Scott Kennedy taking third spot on the podium with 37 points.
