President Mr Rob Gallagher hosted his Presidents Day on Saturday last and the members turned out in force to play for his prizes on a day with a stiff breeze.
With the Ballyarnettt course in absolute pristine condition it was always going to be a keenly contested competition and that’s how it turned out with Chris Forbes winning the coveted Presidents prize by a slender one point margin with a 40 points return with another three players within one point and a further nine players within two points of the winner.
Martin Mc Eleney finished runner up by virtue of his superior 21 points back nine after a three way 39 points break of tie with Conor O’ Doherty and Bill Mc Chrystal finishing third and fourth respectively.
