The first of the Season’s Wednesday Yellow Tee Open’s was played in glorious weather with the large entry enjoying a course in pristine condition which is reflected in the scoring
Jim Mc Grotty came to the first tee with something to prove after a less than convincing performance against one of his playing partners and good friend in the Singles Match Play the previous evening and he certainly done that by getting his A game back to post an excellent winning score of 43 points, Moyola Visitor 16 handicapper Peter Mullan finished second virtue of his superior 24 points on the back nine after a 40 points break of tie with third placed Dermot Harkin.
