Open Week competitions continued on Monday with the Different Class Mens Wear Stableford and the very good turnout were greeted with a fine day on a course in pristine condition with six handicapper John Spence certainly enjoying the conditions as he posted a fine winning score of 40 points, with Adrian Browne continuing his good form to finish second with 39 points, the clubs Hon. Treasurer Jackie Thomas entered the prize winners enclosure when finishing third on 37 points.
The highlight of the competition was a Hole – In – One recorded by Stephen Doherty at the par three third hole where he holed out with a 5 iron for his ace witnessed by playing partners Trevor Holmes, Adrian Browne and Peter Kemish and along with half the pool in the two’s he will be the proud owner of a limited edition Hole – In – One Boss watch.
