Open Week got underway on Saturday with the J.K.C. Specialist Cars Stableford and the large turnout were rewarded with a fine day on a course in pristine condition but the strong breeze made scoring difficult from the back tee’s.
Nineteen handicapper Steven Kivelehan certainly relished the conditions to get his Open Week off to a winning start with a fine score of 39 points, with the Clubs talented juvenile member three handicapper Caolan Dunn finishing second after a 38 points break of tie with gross winner Damien Mc Kenna, with four handicapper James Kelly finishing in third place.
