The Teams in the Pat Kirk Ltd Winter League have returned their eighth and last full counting cards and the chase for one of the 16 places on offer in the Final on Saturday 1st December is certainly becoming very competitive.

Six points separate the leading five teams with the teams now dropping their lowest scores in the last two rounds it is still unclear who will contest the final.

Team 16, David Wilson & Brendan Gallagher continue to lead the Qualifying with an accumulated score of 338 points but have seen their lead cut to a slender point advantage by Team 25, Dermott Harkin & Cyril Ming who have accumulated 337 points from their eight rounds.

In the Ladies section of the Winter League after eight full counting rounds Team 1, Lorna Thompson, Florence Rankin, Myra Gough with an accumulated total of 390 points now hold a slender three points advantage over Team 2, Agnes Mc Laughlin, Faye Mc Grotty, Monica Smith with an accumulated score of 387 points continue to chase down the leaders and with each team now dropping their lowest scores in the last two rounds it is still to close to call and will certainly go to the last counting cards.
