The Qualifying section of the Pauls Butchers Spring League came to a conclusion on Sunday last after ten rounds with the best six rounds counting and in one of the most competitive Qualifying sections for a number of years the eight teams to contest the match play have been identified with just nine points separating them, with another five teams within six points of the leading qualifiers, therefore with such a close contest in the Qualifying it will certainly make for some very close and competitive matches in the match play section.
Team 1, consisting of Gary Jackson, Gary Mc Elroy, Michael Coyle and Ciaran O’ Doherty who have lead the qualifying for most of the ten weeks finishing as leading Qualifiers with an accumulated total of 567 points an excellent six round average of 94.5 points per round and they will surely start as favorites to lift the coveted Spring League Title, but with another seven very strong teams also competing they will need to keep their qualifying form going into the match play.
