The Pauls Butcher Spring League qualifying section has now reached the mid point with the teams having returned their fifth round cards and at this stage the leading eight teams are separated by just five points with one more full counting card to return before the teams start dropping their lowest scores which is certainly making for a very competitive qualifying section as the teams strive for one of the eight places on offer in the Final of the League.
After five rounds Team 15, James Dalzell, Gavin Rafferty, Paul Rabbett and Terry Cavanagh having accumulated 308 points hold a one point lead over Team 17, Tony Mc Ginley, Declan Meenan, Matthew Wagstaff and Luke Sweeney on 307 points with the chasing pack in very close proximity.
