With round six and last full counting scores returned in the Pauls Butchers Spring League Qualifying, Team 2, consisting of John Coyle, Jim M Grotty, Damien Ball and Michael Henry have moved to the top of the leader board with an accumulated six round total of 558 points on a break of tie virtue of their sixth round counting score of 92 points , from long time leaders, Team 1, Gary Jackson, Gary Mc Elroy, Michael Coyle and Ciaran O’ Doherty who also have accumulated 558 points but are relegated to second place after their sixth round score of 91 points, Team 4 are a further two points adrift on 556 points in third place.
The highlight of round six in the Qualifying was an outstanding score of 100 points from Team 9, Damien Martin, Kevin Thomas, Kevin Dunn and Paul Dunn the best score returned in the Qualifying to date which moves them to fourth place on the leader board.
With the Teams now having to drop their lowest scores in the final four rounds it is certainly to early to call the eight Qualifiers who will contest the Match Play as there will be a lot of changes on the leader board during the next four rounds.
