Foyle Ladies hosted the Clubs “Pink Day Open” on Thursday 3rd October raising approximately £500 for Cancer Focus NI. The day proved to be successful with ladies turning out from Clubs throughout the North West despite the poor forecast and the threat of storm Lorenzo. Weather conditions were better for the men’s competition which was played on the Wednesday and Friday. The event was once again kindly sponsored by Lady President Avril Gallagher and Mrs Angela Crumley.
Roberta Moore took top honours returning a score of 33 points in the difficult conditions. The Gross prize was won by Hazel Russell from Rosapenna and City of Derry’s Lady Captain, Geraldine McDaid was the winning visitor.
