It was no surprise to see home club stalwart Anne Hamilton off a handicap of 13 taking top honours on a day when scoring was generally low due to the weather conditions!
Monica Smith, another accomplished home player, took second spot and in form Mary Wallace came in third.
Alison Evans secured the back 9 and our faithful visitor Margaret McColgan from Buncrana Ladies took the visitors’ prize.
Theresa Timlin won the 9 hole event with 17 points, a very good score on the day
Lady Captain and her trusty assistant Mary Hasson greeted the ladies as they arrived.
Although there was a smaller than usual turnout, a fabulous total of £850.00 was raised and the presentation of these proceeds to a representative of Cancer Focus took place alongside the prizegiving on Tuesday. Many thanks to Avril Gallagher and Angela Crumley for sponsoring the competition; a delightful array of prizes was presented.
Many thanks on behalf of the club to Monica for organising the competition and generating the results; also to John Joe for taking care of the men’s event and of course as always to the men’s branch for their support.
Finally thanks to our honorary treasurer for her usual meticulous management of the money side of things.
