The qualifying stage of the Pitchers Spring League has come to a conclusion on Sunday past, and after ten very competitive weeks play the eight teams who will progress to the match play have emerged after a very close finish with some of the qualifiers emerging from a group of sixteen teams with two cards to play with some very good scores to book their place in the final stage of the league.
Team 8 Mark Doherty, Ciaran O’ Doherty, John Jennings and Dermott Harkin finished as top qualifiers with an accumulated total of 569pts for there six best cards and hold a seven point lead over team 20, therefore after this performance they now go into the match play as clear favorites to claim the coveted Spring League title to add to the Winter League title they already hold.
