The Finalists in the 2014 Pitchers Spring League have been identified after two very competitive Semi-Finals which saw the pre-competition favorites Team 8 Mark Doherty, Ciaran O’ Doherty, John Jennings and Dermott Harkin secured their place in the Final with a four hole victory over Team 2 John Mc Dowell, Paddy Coyle, Damien Martin and Kevin Dunn.
The other Semi-Final between Team 6 Paddy Mc Cafferty, Joe Lynch, Chris Lynch, Finbar Logue and Team 5 David Knox, Paul Mc Laughlin, Stuart Gauld, David Knox Jun. was a much closer contest which needed a tie hole to decide the winner after both matches ended in deadlock 4 holes up and 4 holes down, leaving the last pairs out Club Captain Chris Lynch – Finbar Logue and David Knox – Paul Mc laughlin to play the the tie hole where Finbar secured the win for Team 6 with a par for a nett birdie and a place in the Final.
