The 2021 Precise Protect Insurance Sponsored Autumn / Winter Better Ball League is now underway and as the large entry of teams begin to return their first cards,very good scoring would seem to be in place.
The highlight of the first round was a hole – in – one at the par three 8th hole where Emmet Mapp struck the perfect six iron to hole out for his ace witnessed by playing partners Declan Mc Gowan and Seamus Mc Laughlin.
Team 17, Niall Mc Guinness and Shan Duffy have laid down a marker with the best score returned to date in round one an excellent 47 points but they are closely followed by Teams 36 and 6 Donal Davis & Christopher Mc Allister and Albert Gurney & Cormac Cassidy who returned fine scores of 44 points.
There is more than ample time to enter a Team and compete in this very enjoyable League, Rules and Format can be seen in the Golf Reception where a team can be entered.
