It was another busy weekend at the Club as the members turned out in large numbers for the Ryans Carpets & Beds Open Weekend which started on Saturday with a Singles Stableford competition which had an excellent winners prize of a £500.00 voucher for a Respa Bed.
With the Ballyarnett course in splendid condition and benign conditions everything was in place for good scoring and 13 handicapper Seamus Mc Chrystal certainly obliged as he made full use of the favorable conditions to post an excellent winning score of 43 points to claim the £500 winners voucher , Damian Mc Colgan will regret his blank at the second hole as he finished runner up albeit after a 42 points break of tie with placed Jeff Etherson.

Sunday Better Ball OPEN
Sundays competition was an Open Better Ball event and again there was an outstanding entry with weather and scoring to match.
The Pairing of 11 handicapper Stephen Doherty and +1 Stephen Martin negotiated the Ballyarnett layout in a better ball 6 under par which produced a fantastic winning score of 47 points.
Competition Sponsor James Ryan and Martin Tierney finished runners up virtue of their 25 points on the back nine after a 43 points break of tie with third placed John Coyle and James Mc Grotty.
