Senior, Junior & Intermediate Scratch Cup

The Senior, Junior & Intermediate Scratch Cup Sponsored by Total Golf & Pitchers with a Hole-In- One Sponsored by Donnelly VW took center stage at Foyle on Sunday  with competitors from around the North West and further afield taking part, with the competitors enduring some heavy showers during the two rounds.

In the Senior section Damien Mc Kenna returned an excellent 68 three under par opening round to lead by four shots from second placed Caolan Dunn on 72 with Paul Mc Guigan a further shot adrift on 73.

The second round was played in more difficult conditions with Damien Mc Kenna returning a three over par 74 for a two round total of 142 to claim the coveted Foyle Senior Scratch Cup title, Caolan Dunn returned another fine score of 72 to finish second on 144, Shane Mc Clean added a very good second round score of 72 to his first round of 75 for a third place finish on 147.

Five Handicapper Scott Kennedy was the Junior winner albeit with his superior second round after rounds of 80 & 77 for a 157 total, Cormac Mc Geady finished second after the tie break in the Junior section with rounds of 75 & 82.

The intermediate section played over 27 holes was won by 10 handicapper Emmet Hutton with rounds of 80 & 42 for a 122 total over the the 27 holes.
