The early starters in Saturdays Sphere Global Sponsored Open Stableford had to endure tough playing conditions as the heavy showers made scoring difficult, with the competitors more than surprised with the condition of the Ballyarnett course after all the heavy rain during the preceding days, the competition was dominated by the single handicap golfers as Shane Mc Clean produced an excellent one under par round for his winning score of 40 points, with Cormac Mc Geady finishing runner up after a three way 38 points break of tie.
