The Sphere Global sponsored Open Stableford played on Saturday last attracted a large entry with in excess of 135 competitors enjoying a fine day on a course in pristine condition.
Taking full advantage of the favorable conditions was Mark Duddy who returned an excellent score of 42 points to take top honours.
A modest return of 18 points on the front nine was followed by an explosive back nine performance on which Mark accumulated a further 24 points to record his maiden Open victory, albeit it on a break of tie.
Stephen Mc Caul who matched Mark’s score, lost out on the back nine with Martin Mc Eleney taking third place, three points adrift.
