The T M G Boxing Autumn / Winter Better Ball League very competitive ten round Qualifying section which had the best seven rounds counting came to a conclusion on Sunday last with the sixteen Teams now identified for the Final on Saturday 2nd December
Team 14 John A Lafferty and Adrian Mc Dermott topped the Qualifying Section Leader Board with a magnificent 323 points total from their seven rounds averaging approx 46 points per round, as Team 13 Joe Lynch and Paddy Mc Cafferty finished second with 311 points, with Team 37 Harry Lafferty and Laurance Traynor coming in third with 310 points, with Teams 40 Cormac Cassidy and Michael Duffy and 23 Gary Mc Elroy and Ciaran O’ Doherty completing the Qualifiers in 15 & 16 places respectively on 291 points.
As the Teams turn out for the Final on Saturday John A and Adrian will certainly start as firm favourites to take the coveted title and rightly so, virtue of their magnificent effort in the Qualifying, but with another fifteen very strong and well balanced teams competing for the six team prizes on offer it loooks like being a very competitive Final
