With 16 strong and well balanced teams who had qualified for the T M G Boxing Autumn / Winter Better Ball Final on Saturday every thing was in place for a very competitive event and that is how it turned out as the teams produced some excellent scoring, with the best on the day coming from Tony Mc Intyre and Ciaran English with an excellent winning score of 46 points to claim the coveted title, David Hasson and Gavin Devlin finished runners – up with another great score of 44 points which would have been good enough to win on another day, Eamon O’ Kane and Gary Jackson finished third as the veterans and winners playing partners on the day produced some fine golf for their 43 points, with a 42 points break of tie deciding the final three positions on the prize list.

A highlight on the day was a Hole – In – One at the par three 13th hole where Damien Martin holed out with his tee shot for his ace witnessed by his playing partners Richie Mc Rory, Harry Lafferty and Laurance Traynor.
