The Annual Total Golf 2 Day Open took center stage at the weekend and with an excellent entry of 232 competitors taking to the pristine Ballyarnett fairways hoping to secure one of the 12 places on offer in the Final for the top prizes of a 1st Set of Custom Fit Irons, 2nd Custom Fit Driver and 3rd Tour Golf Bag the qualifying was very keenly contested with seven players qualifying on Saturday, with Liam Mc Closkey finishing as leading qualifier with 41pts followed by Darragh Glynn 40pts, Kevin Henderson 39pts, Scott Kennedy 38pts, Joe Bradley 38pts, Seamus Mc Laughlin 38pts and Declan Ryan 37pts after a break of tie, on Sunday five players qualified with Gary Mc Closkey leading qualifier with 38pts followed by, Christopher Forbes 37pts, Jason Murray 36pts, Damien Mc Kenna 36pts and Steven Kivelehan 35pts again after a break of tie.
All 12 players turned out on Wednesday for the final on a glorious evening as 9 handicapper Darragh Glynn carried his form forward to the final when increasing his qualifying score by one point for an excellent 41 points winning score, 5 handicapper Scott kennedy also continued his fine form and also increased his qualifying score by a point to finish second with 39 points, as 13 handicapper Gary Mc Closkey finished third with 34 points.
