The Annual Total Golf Club Classic took center stage at Foyle over the weekend and the teams of four event with two scores counting at each hole and all four scores counting at a hidden hole on each nine had an excellent entry with 30 teams turning out for the very popular format.
With the large entry scoring was very competitive with the leading six teams finishing within three points of each other and the team consisting of Tommy Young, Kevin O’ Kane, Anthony Mc Monagle and Michael Mc Nicholl took top honours with a fine score of 103 points, David Wilson, Joe Bradley, Brendan Gallagher and Seamus Mc Laughlin finished in second place one point adrift on 102 points, third place was decided after a four way 100 points break of tie in favour of Kevin Henderson, Dane Mc Cafferty, Chris Forbes and Steven Kivelehan virtue of their superior 54 points on the back nine.
The best Ladies team was anchored to victory by Lady Captain Florence Rankin who was very well supported by Myra Gough, Lorna Thompson and Allison Wright with a fine total of 89 points.
