The Annual Total Golf Club Classic took center stage last week as close to 40 Ladies and Men’s Teams turned out in glorious weather.
The format for the event was two best scores counting at each hole with all four players scoring at two hidden holes one on each nine front and back.
Scoring in the competition was excellent with the leading 12 teams finishing within five points of each other before the scores at the hidden holes were added.
The Ladies Team of Alison Wright, Mary Wallace, Christine Mc Cafferty and Florence Rankin accumulated an excellent score of 100 points then added nine points from the hidden holes for their winning score of 109 points.
The Team of Gary Mc Closkey, Gerry Toland, Damian Kivelehan and James Meehan accumulated 99 points in normal play then added seven points from the hidden holes to finish runners – up on 106 points.
