The Total Golf Sponsored Club Classic was very well supported with 21 teams turning out, with special thanks going to the Ladies Club who had four teams taking part hoping to show the men that their golfing prowess needs to be taken seriously and this they duly achieved when Lady Captain Monica Smith, Agnes Mc Laughlin, Sadie O’ Kane and Allison Wright returned the best score of the event over the 18 holes with two scores to count at each hole when returning an excellent score of 94 points to lead before two further scores were added at two hidden hole, and after only adding four points for an 98 points total just lost out after the tie break to the Winners of the competition John Coyle, Jim Mc Grotty, Michael Henry and Kevin Mc Daid who returned 90 points for the 18 holes then adding a further eight points for a 98 points total taking the winners accolade virtue of their superior 51 points on the back nine.
